Christmas Trees & Wreaths
|
|
We have a large selection of Christmas trees,
wreaths, and garland. We also have some live (balled & burlapped, 4-5'
and 5-6') trees in stock.
Our trees are Balsam fir (Abies balsamea) and Fraser fir
(Abies fraseri), and range in size from 3 feet to over 10 feet
tall. We specialize in these two species because they have qualities
which set them apart from other tree types and make them very desirable species
for Christmas trees, such as their persisting pleasant fragrance, dark green
needles, and because they are long-lasting and have an attractive shape. Frasier fir
is our premium tree, with dark green needles with bluish undersides (giving this
tree a more bluish overall appearance than the greener Balsam fir), and its
strong uniform branching structure gives it a pyramidal shape. The Balsam fir,
also an excellent Christmas tree, has dark green needles, and its branching
structure produces a conical shape.

Here
are some photos comparing Fraser and Balsam firs. You will be able to
compare the photos better if your monitor is set on high resolution (1024 x 768)
and 24-bit color, although other settings will work. This is a large photo
composite, so please be patient while it loads! |
