Albert H. Gledhill, Sr. (founder of Gledhill Nursery)

Nursery frontage on Mountain Rd., original vs. today.

Nursery's customer entrance road (historical, and a winter scene).

The first building erected at the nursery. This structure became the
brick house currently across from the windmill.

The windmill that is currently located on the nursery grounds, our
trademark, was originally part of the Dutchland Farms building in Bishop's
Corner, a popular hangout for hot dogs and ice cream. It was moved to the
nursery in 1952, when Dutchland Farms was demolished to make room for a Lord and
Taylor store. The photo on the
left was taken ca. 1940's at Bishop's Corner, and the one on the right is its
appearance today at the nursery.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony for new garden center building with Mayor Nan Glass,
and current nursery owner and president Bob Powell, September 1996.

Old barn and the new garden center building that replaced it.

1901 Oldsmobile in front of the old nursery offices (before new garden center
building was built).

1922 Ford Model T pickup truck. This is what people were driving the
year the nursery was founded.

Some slightly later model trucks that we've used for landscaping.
